1. What this covers

This policy covers cookies and equivalent technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage that are read from or written to your device when you use https://digital-vault.store.

Storing or reading information on your device requires your consent unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested.

2. Categories we use

NECESSARY — always active. Required for authentication, security, your shopping cart and checkout continuity. These cannot be switched off, because the marketplace cannot work without them.

PREFERENCES — optional. Remembers optional interface choices, currently only that you dismissed the site announcement strip. Nothing is stored for this category unless you allow it.

ANALYTICS — optional. No third-party analytics product is integrated in the application today, so allowing this category currently causes no additional storage. If we add one, it will be listed here and will load only after consent.

MARKETING — optional. No advertising, retargeting or tracking pixel is integrated in the application today. If we add one, it will be listed here and will load only after consent.

3. Necessary storage we set

Authentication session — provider: DigitalVault (first party, via our authentication library) — browser localStorage, key beginning “sb-” — purpose: keeping you signed in and authorising your requests — duration: until you sign out or the session token expires.

Guest cart — provider: DigitalVault (first party) — browser localStorage, key “dv.cart.v1” — purpose: remembering your cart before you sign in and merging it with your account cart afterwards — duration: until cleared by you or by checkout.

Cookie consent record — provider: DigitalVault (first party) — browser localStorage, key “dv.cookie-consent.v1” — purpose: storing the consent version, the categories you chose and the time of your choice, so we do not ask again and do not load optional storage you refused — duration: until you clear site data or the consent version changes.

Product-view de-duplication — provider: DigitalVault (first party) — browser sessionStorage, one entry per viewed product — purpose: preventing the same view being counted repeatedly in the seller’s own view count during a single browsing session; it is not used to profile you or track you across sites — duration: until the browser tab session ends.

Payment provider storage — provider: Stripe (third party) — set on Stripe’s own hosted checkout pages for payment processing, fraud prevention and security. Stripe’s own cookie information applies on those pages.

4. Optional storage we set

Announcement dismissal — category: preferences — provider: DigitalVault (first party) — browser sessionStorage, key “dv-announcement-dismissed” — purpose: remembering that you closed the site announcement — duration: until the browser tab session ends. Written only if you allow the preferences category.

There are currently no analytics or marketing items to list. We do not set any optional storage before you choose.

5. Your choices and how to change them

On your first visit a consent banner appears with “Accept all”, “Essential only” and “Manage preferences”. Optional categories are never pre-selected, and nothing optional is stored before you decide.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or the button at the top of this page. Withdrawing consent stops future optional storage; storage already written can also be cleared from your browser.

We record the consent version with your choice, so if the categories we use change materially we will ask you again.

You can also block or delete cookies and clear site storage through your browser settings; blocking necessary storage will stop sign-in and the cart from working.
